Which sock
Crew is our most popular sock and it is what most clubs order: tried, tested, and the height a member puts on on a Tuesday rather than only on a match day. Other heights and constructions are available: a longer sock for rugby, hockey and rowing, where it has to clear a shin pad or meet a playing kit, a sports build for anything trained in, and a ski sock for the mountain. Your crest, and where it goes
Club initials work best around the cuff or up the leg, a crest sits on the calf, and the sole is where a lot of clubs put a founding year or a motto only members will get.
A design can use six colours in total, and the base colour is one of the six. Two or three usually read better on a sock than six do. Send a photograph of your current kit, a tie, a scarf or a spare shirt, and we work from that, with unlimited revisions. What survives the redraw onto a stitch grid is in how a crest goes on a sock.
A new intake, and ordering again
Every run is one design in one size, and the minimum of 100 pairs applies per design. A first team sock and a second team sock are two runs of 100, not one run of 200 split between them. Plenty of clubs order both. A reorder for a new intake is a fresh run of the same design.
Timing and cost
You sign off the design, we invoice you, and sock production starts once that invoice is paid. Count back 7 to 8 weeks from the date the socks have to be in hand, then add the time your committee needs to agree a design and settle the invoice.

Crew or long for match kit?
Long, at 14cm and above. A match sock has to clear a shin pad or meet a playing kit, and a crew sock will not. Crew is the right answer for anything worn off the pitch.
Will the crest survive a hot wash?
It is knitted into the fabric rather than printed on top of it, so there is nothing to crack, peel or wash off.
Do we need to collect sizes from members?
No. We knit one adult size and it fits UK foot sizes 5 to 13, roughly 95% of adult feet in the UK.
