Students’ unions, sports clubs, societies, JCRs, snowsports clubs, alumni offices and OTC units. The order is the same shape in every case: one design, one run, your colours, your crest.
100 pairs per design, and one design per run, so two designs means two runs of 100. For most clubs and societies that is a membership list, which is the same arithmetic a school does with a year group.
A design can use six colours in total, and the base colour is one of the six. Two or three usually read better on a sock than six do. Club initials work best around the cuff or up the leg, a crest sits on the calf, and the sole is where a lot of clubs put a founding year or a motto only members will get.
Send us a photograph of your current kit, a tie, a scarf or a spare shirt, and we work from that rather than from a colour code. The crest gets redrawn on a stitch grid rather than shrunk, and what survives that is set out in how a crest goes on a sock. We handle the design work with unlimited revisions.
It is knitted into the fabric, not printed on top, so it does not crack, peel or wash off. That matters for something going through a shared machine at 60 degrees.
Crew is our most popular sock and it is the right answer for general stash: tried, tested, and the height people actually wear, so it is the one that sells. We knit one adult size and it fits UK foot sizes 5 to 13, roughly 95% of adult feet in the UK. You never collect a shoe size from anybody, ever.
A custom label with your own name or initialism on it is available on any run. It is worth deciding before you brief us.
You sign off the design, we invoice you, and sock production starts once that invoice is paid.
Count back 7 to 8 weeks from the date you need the socks in hand, then add however long your committee takes to agree a design and settle the invoice. The mock-up comes back within 24 hours. If the socks are for a fixed event, work backwards from the event and not forwards from today.
